Detectin applications which load on startup in windows xp.
here is the path where you look for..

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
C:\Documents and Settings\{Username}\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

    1. Remove the programs loaded in ur current windows user. This can be found in the
    C:\Documents and Settings\user\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

    2. Remove the programs located for all the users as below.
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
